Diseases

According to World Health Organization, insect-borne diseases are a growing problem. In addition to early summer meningo encephalitis (TBE), leishmaniosis, tick-born encephalitis, Lyme borreliosis, dengue fever, and the like, probably the most well-known vector-borne (infected) infection is malaria.

Factors such as advancing globalization, international travel, long-distance trade and climate change have an impact on the spread of vector-borne diseases and make them more significant worldwide. There is neither a drug treatment nor a vaccination against many of these pathogens.
